Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer best famous for the roles she performed in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in films theater and television. Her acting career began in the theater. Later, she was a part of various television series as well as independent and mainstream movies. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico while also appearing in BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she received critical acclaim and a variety of nominations and distinctions including the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. In 1995, she was the first actress to make her debut on stage in The Tempest as Ariel. She has performed for the stage on Broadway on stage in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is best known for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her character as a regular in the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
