Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette was an American actress, voice, and film actor. She lived from January 31st, 1937 until January 19th, 2008. Pleshette began her professional career in the theater, and she appeared in films towards the end of the 1950s. She was later featured in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Later, she appeared in a variety of television productions, mainly in guest roles, and she played Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, and received several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on January 31 in 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer, and choreographer who appeared on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
