JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez was born 11 August 1985 in Sri Lanka. She is a model and actress. She has appeared in Indian film, mostly in Hindi, besides appearing in reality shows and music videos. Since her 2009 debut with Aladin she has become an actor of great success in Hindi film. Fernandez is the daughter of a multiracial Eurasian family, including a Canadian, Sri Lankan and Malaysian mother. She was born and raised in Bahrain, a country that is a part of. After graduating in mass communication at the University of Sydney and working as a reporter for a TV station in Sri Lanka, she joined the modeling business. She was named Miss Universe Sri Lanka in 2006 and also represented her country at Miss Universe 2006. Fernandez was subject to an investigation in relation to a money laundering investigation that has been involving Rs200 crore since December 2021. Fernandez was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate for 10 hours on the 9th of December 2021. On 22 December, ED rejected Fernandez's request to lower the Lookout Circular (LOC) which was issued against her in the case that blocks her to travel outside India
